Today, I'm posting something a little different to what I normally do...

| Dress c/o Dressestylist | Photography by Richard |

As you know, this has never been a fashion blog. I do, however,  like photography and sharing it so when Dressestylist emailed me saying they wanted to collaborate, I was pretty surprised. And then stoked, because how fun would it be to try something new with photography by experimenting with some incredible dresses?! So when I came home from overseas to find this amazing custom-made dress waiting for me, Richard and I drove to the nearest park as soon as the rain stopped and started snapping. This was his first serious time behind the camera and our first real 'shoot' together, so we were pretty clueless. After a lot of exchanging instructions, rolling around on the grass and running back and forth... I have to say, he was so patient with my demands and the photos turned out beautiful. (If I say so myself).

Dressestylist has hundreds (I really mean that) of affordable event/prom/formal and wedding dresses that can all be made to your custom size (just put in your own measurements). After inspecting my dress, I can also tell you that the quality is top-notch too. So if you have an event coming up in the near or far future, it might be a site you want to check out!

Anyhow, what do you think of the photos? Which is your favourite, and would you like to see more fashion-y photography posts in the future?

P.S. I promise India/Nepal photos will come soon.

  4. heyy, thanks so much for your lovely comment and following me!

your photography is even more stunning than mine! loved all your photos on this blog and have already been following a while already :) and you look so pretty and gorgeous in that dress~!! love the bright purple, it suits u very well <3

well, going on the roadtrip without plan and accommodation was actually easier than I thought as long as the people who are going with you are easy-going, uncomplicated and non-picky. places are everywhere on the road (no matter if a small village or a bigger city), so it was never a problem of finding a place to stop over. with a GPS and a phone/tablet with 3G, we could check out many things on the road or even book accommodations couple hours before we arrive. it was just more problematic when hotels were all booked out (which we encounter e.g. in byron bay) or when the reception was closed.

there is really no need to be afraid, just drag some good friends, be flexible, and enjoy going wherever :D and be sure to have people on board who can protect you, bc u don't know at which remote places you might arrive.

Anyway, you are GORGEOUS. That dress suits you so perfectly. I love it when it billows in the wind and has volume and texture. My favorite photos are of you lying in the grass. The green and the purple? It is so vivid. The photos did indeed turn out beautifully.
